As my work is being hung from the ceiling, a sturdy structure is needed to create a base and support the sculptural form, in the simple form of a corset shape.

Using a manekin, i gather the neccessary measurements of the female body, then cut the sections of steel rod which will make up the structure. These sections are then bent to shape and then braised/welded together. 

6 Sections in total - measurements from - bust - waist - hips

Sweetheart shape corset frame, the section needs to be individually shaped using the slow process of heating and bending at the weak points.
